The first of four standalone workshops, where writers will be given a week to write an exercise aimed at building command of their craft, and improving the emotional connection between the audience and characters. Then each Monday night they’ll gather at Charlie’s where AiF member-actors will read the exercises, followed by feedback from the other writers and the moderator – script coach Tim Schildberger from LiveRead/LA (website).
Over the four weeks, writers will work on their craft and take creative risks, free from their current projects. They’ll hear their words read in a respectful, productive and supportive environment, bond with fellow writers and actors, and apply the skills learned to their own writing. BECAUSE SPACE IS VERY LIMITED, please confirm you can attend all four evenings. We’re asking for a US$40 donation (to the AiF Foundation which supports programs like the Heath Ledger Scholarship).
