Petra Lovrencic, last year’s recipient, has started her new role as post-production assistant at Animal Logic in Sydney, while 2016 recipient Melanie Jayne is currently working at HBO Programming in Los Angeles.

The internship will start in early 2019. The selection panel is seeking innovative and creative applicants who have demonstrated a commitment and significant potential in their chosen area.
Kate Marks, President of Australians in Film said, “Over the past few years, the internship has provided an invaluable launching pad for emerging Australian producers and we are so grateful to Greg Basser and Zareh Nalbandian for their investment in the Australian industry. We value their leadership and our partnership with them greatly.”
Greg Basser, CEO of Village Roadshow Entertainment Group and producer of the largest Chinese-Australian co-production ever filmed in Australia and the biggest production to be shot in Victoria in over a decade, The Whistleblower, said, “providing opportunities and support for emerging Australian screen professionals is an important and vital role at our company and we are proud to be working with Animal Logic and Australians in Film in offering this internship.”
