Australia's Screen Production Incentives

with Ausfilm's

Kate Marks and Michelle Sandoval

Join us for an industry workshop with Ausfilm's EVP International Production and Director of U.S. Production. They will provide an overview of Australia's Federal and State production incentives and answer any questions you may have on filming in Australia.

Executive Vice President, International Production - Ausfilm

Kate Marks joined Ausfilm as Executive Vice President, International Production in September 2014. In this role she heads up the Los Angeles office and is tasked with promoting Australia as a production destination, marketing Australia's production incentive schemes and matching Australian creative teams with US executives. Projects secured for Australia since her appointment include Alien: Covenant; Thor: Ragnarok; Season three of The Leftovers; Pacific Rim; Kong Skull Island; and The Shallows. Prior to this she worked with Film Victoria for 10 years and from 2009-2013 was General Manager - Incentives, Locations and Production Services.

Kate is also President of the Board of Australians in Film, a Los Angeles based non-profit film, television and digital content foundation that supports and promotes Australian screen talent and culture in the United States.

Michelle Sandoval has been with Ausfilm since 2009, helping US and international production companies understand the incentives, talent, and infrastructure Australia has to offer for film and television production. Ms. Sandoval actively works with Australian talent and Ausfilm members looking to bridge the gap between the US and Australia through Ausfilm hosted events in North America.

Prior to joining Ausfilm, Ms. Sandoval was at DreamWorks Animation, having the unique opportunity to work with one of the most prolific comedic talents of our time. Her responsibilities included talent relations, scheduling, and liaising with business affairs, marketing, and animation. Ms. Sandoval began her career in television literary at the William Morris Agency. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Film Production from Loyola Marymount University.
