AUSTRALIAN SHORT FILM TODAY
IS BACK!
Asia Society, May 3, 2016

Injury Time
(dir. Jack Sheridan)
Featuring some of the most exciting and eclectic short films from Down Under, this annual program returns to the Asia Society in memory of its creator, Susan Talbot, Member of the Order of Australia (AM). Join us for an evening of live action, documentary and animated shorts, including Joel Loxton's The Kangaroo Guy, a cautionary tale about a politician and the media, where honesty might occasionally be the best policy, and Jack Sheridan's Injury Time, about a soccer team's manager's desperate struggle to win "The Game" on his terms.
This 24th Annual Screening of Australian Short Film Today is dedicated to the memory of our dear friend Susan Talbot AM, who created this event in 1992 and curated it for 23 consecutive years.
Tonight's program is curated by Paul Thompson, Associate Professor, NYU Tisch School of the Arts, and former Head of Film and Television at Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS). His assistant curators are Udora Weihang Wang and Harris B. Pacey, NYU Tisch film students.
